divin was fun
Yo peeps.Howz the weekend goin??Okay, herez an update on the event yesterday.'Save our sea 2006' at Pulau Hantu.
The weather was fine, which was a good sign.Thou the visibility was about 1m but well thats what you get at Pulau Hantu.Met up with the rest of the group at West Coast Pier.Took me quite sometime to find the place because I havnt been to that place before. We used to set off from harbourfront.Anyway, there was 3 boats altogether as theres quite a number of us.My boat got the least people plus its a well maintain boat.Haha..By the time we got to Hantu, the Naval Divin Unit(NDU) was there already, settin up their equipment and stuff. There were reporter from channel news asia too.=)
The event started about 1030hrs.My dive leader Terance gave us a brief and there we go.One by one jumpin into the sea.We descend to about 12.5m was targettin to descend about 6 or 7m but we went beyond.Comb around the area for 50 minutes and up we came. The current below was pretty strong and we keep driftin far apart.Furthermore the visibility wasnt really good and we are havin a hard time to keep together.it wasnt easy, we got spilt up quite a number of time.
The whole event ended around 1300hrs had lunch clean up and some chat. When we are about to leave, the boat couldnt start. We tried fixin it but well to no avail so we got another boat to bring us back.Reach mainland at about 1545hrs.Didnt went for the reception because have to pick mum up from Gentin when they get back.So reached home do the laudry and I fall dead into my dreamland.
It was a wonderful experinces that i have gone through.Itz pretty fun and enrichin havin to learnt from senior divers.Im lookin forward to next year 'Save our Sea' programme.Although itz just a short period of time spent but it was wonderful.Nice weather, nice wave and the island itz peaceful and quiet too.
Guyz, c'mon try divin u will love it..
Cheers
